We will forever be life‐long learners. Everyday it is important to do things that keep us healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. One of the best things you can do for your mind is learn new things by challenge yourself mentally.
- Take a class at your local community college
- Attend seminars and speakers
- Read the local and national papers to know what is happening where you are
- Get on the internet and read news papers from other countries to know other perspectives on what is happening around the world
- Get weekly/monthly subscriptions to news letters (via e‐mail) on topics that interest you
- Read books
- Learn something you always have wanted to (i.e. how to play the guitar, or French)
- Listen to books on tape when you are driving long distances or even on your daily commute
- Do a puzzle (like Suduko or a cross‐word) daily

Even though we are busy growing our company, we still make time everyday to eat well and get proper exercise. We typically wake up early in the morning, hydrate with a couple large glasses of water and drink a glass of juice. We vary our workouts with cardio, weight training/Pilates, and stretching and yoga. Check out our typical routine below (we do this 1-4 days/week):
ALEX:
- 30 minutes cardio (on stationary bike)
- 15 minutes stretching and/or yoga
- 15 minutes of core work (abs and back)
- pull-ups and push-ups
MADDY
- 30-45 minutes cardio (stationary bike or a run) -- typically intervals
- 10 minutes stretching and/or yoga
- 15 minutes of Pilates (core and glutes)
- 5-10 minutes arms/upper body
- 5 minutes stretching and deep breathing
We love to cook! We are always creating new recipes that involve tons of fresh, seasonal veggetables. Stir-frys, soups, and large salads are typcial meals. But our favorite breakfast or snack is Greek yogurt with Love Grown Foods: Original Agave Naturals and some local Colorado honey! YUM! We also love making smoothies and protein shakes with fresh, seasonal fruit!
